My name is Barbara Simler, and I’m the person who creates all of Moon and Hare’s handmade leather journals, leather sketch books, leather weekly planners, monthly planners, and other handmade books. Since 2004, my focus has been on making the highest quality leather journals, sketch books, and leather planners. In making my handmade leather journals / sketch books, I use the finest quality leather for the covers. I hand tear the pages (which are made from Canson sketch paper). The pages of my leather journals / leather sketch books are suitable for writing, and also for sketching with pencil, pen, charcoal and pastel. I hand stitch all of my leather journals, using designs that date back to the Middle Ages.
